You can just tell you are going to be in amazing hands throughout the entire planning process. She was always available via email, text, or phone when we had any questions (of which we had many), even while she was pregnant !! - which is a super hero power I think. Everything was handled so efficiently, super organized, and at some points I found myself thinking, “wow this wedding planning stuff is easy!” which speaks volumes to how much her and her team helped, because as we all know, it is not easy. On our wedding day things didn’t exactly go as perfectly planned (rain, we were late, general chaos) and the Simple Elegance team handled it like the pro’s they are and we will be forever thankful for that. Our wedding was one of the best experiences of our lives, and we couldn’t have done it without Keira by our side the entire time!”

“Just hire her. Don't think twice about it! My now husband and I are used to planning events for work, but when it came to our wedding we wanted to find someone who we could trust to help us over the finish line with the last-minute plans and details. We chose to get married at Skytop Lodge in Skytop, PA and being from out of town we knew we needed someone who was familiar with the space and staff and Keira blew our expectations out of the water. From our very first call I felt like I was working with a friend who I could be extremely honest with. She was always around for my late-night texts and phone calls, and her ability to help us troubleshoot and problem-solve (we did have a little rain, but we were still able to be outside!) was so incredibly impressive. Day of she took care of absolutely everything and I felt she was always three steps ahead of me, which was amazing! Our guests and bridal party all commented on how relaxed we were throughout the whole day and I wholeheartedly believe this was all because of Keira's doing. We had an absolutely perfect day, and we are so, so grateful for Keira and her team.”

“Thank God you found Keira” — multiple times throughout our wedding planning, my husband said these exact words to me. I absolutely knew I needed to have a wedding planner, but I wasn’t sure how to find the person that would be the best fit for us. From my first phone call with Keira, I knew she was the right fit — she was incredibly kind and calm, but also so clearly organized and on top of things. That initial feeling turned out to be right ten times over throughout the planning process in big and small ways, from helping set the overall vision for the wedding to keeping me on track with all of the to do list items. For example, when our original caterer proved to be a flake, Keira proactively called it, reached out to several other options, and managed to secure an amazing replacement on short notice because she has so many trusted relationships across the industry. Right up to our actual wedding day, when our plans for a beautiful indoor/outdoor wedding across a sprawling farm were ruined by a tropical storm, Keira and Diana worked with all of our vendors to transform our dream to something that could work under a tent. We could have never pulled this wedding off without simple elegance events, and I probably would have thrown my hands up and eloped. Instead, we got to have an amazing an unforgettable wedding experience!

“Keira and her team were wonderful. Hands down, best decision we made for the wedding weekend. She helped us coordinate the Welcome Dinner on Friday night and then was a critical piece of Saturday. At some point in the process, I was wondering if we really needed a coordinator because we also had a great on-site venue team, but I am SO grateful we hired silk + honey. It was so key to have Keira handling the bridal party, dealing with running around on-site finalizing details, helping our photographers, and just being generally amazing the whole weekend. This was the best $ we spent during the wedding.”

Keira Gallagher

Founder + Lead Planner
After graduating from West Virginia University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies, she began her event planning career in the corporate event world for a local 4 Diamond Resort, where she had the gift of planning events for companies like Louis Vuitton, Vanguard, Coca-Cola, Ford, Edward Jones, and many more. After 5 years in the corporate world, she decided it was time to dive into the more creative part of planning, which is how silk + honey was born. Keira is a Certified Wedding Planner & holds a Certification in Hospitality & Tourism from Florida Atlantic University.

In her free time, Keira enjoys planning her next vacation, cheering her husband on at his softball games, watching her young son grow and learn, taking her two husky mix dogs for walks, and baking.

Diana Hartmann

Senior Wedding Manager
Diana Hartmann was born and raised in Romania, Transilvania to be more precise. She has a degree in Philosophy/Sociology. Diana moved to the US almost 20 years ago and has been working in hospitality and events ever since, most recently as a full-time sales and marketing coordinator, event planner, and bride’s assistant. She has two beautiful children that keep her on her toes every day and in her free time, she loves to garden, cook, and relax with a good book.

Kelly Hess

Wedding Manager
A distinguished alumna of East Stroudsburg University, Kelly holds a teaching degree and is a dedicated Learning Support Teacher in the Allentown School District. In addition to her commitment to education, Kelly has cultivated a keen interest in the intricacies of event planning through years of orchestrating her own intimate gatherings, be it a heartwarming Friendsgiving or a celebratory Birthday Party. Currently, she lends her expertise to wedding coordination, aspiring to take on a more prominent role as a lead event planner in the near future.

When she’s not coordinating beautiful events, you can find her spending moments with loved ones, going on culinary adventures, or channeling her creativity into a new DIY project.

Amber Orehek

Wedding Content Creator
Amber Orehek is our Event Content Creator. She graduated from Centenary University with a degree in Fashion Merchandising, a minor in Business Management & played collegiate-level basketball. She’s a full-time social media manager so she’s constantly keeping up with all the trends and fun content! She realized she loved the content creation process and wanted to help people capture their important days without having the worry of not being in the moment. When she’s not working or creating content, Amber’s probably spending time with her son & husband, baking sourdough bread, or simply spending time outdoors with her dogs!
